Musical Memories
Interactive Book
“Musical Memories" is an innovative interactive book project that emerged from my Core 4 class. With a vision to explore the parallels between Western and Arab musical artists, I crafted a unique narrative that celebrates the shared charisma and resonance found in their performances. Each page of the book features a pair of artists who evoke similar emotions or possess comparable vocal prowess, such as Adele and Fayrouz.
To bring this concept to life, I adopted the Anaglyph style of design, allowing me to juxtapose two artists on a single page. Utilizing red and blue cellophane wrap, I incorporated a reveal mechanism that enhances the interactive experience for the reader. Additionally, the circular design of the book ensures ease of use and navigation, inviting users to explore the connections between different musical traditions and cultures.
Through this project, I aimed to foster cross-cultural appreciation and highlight the universal language of music that transcends geographical boundaries.
